Brad Harder

Born and raised in rural Alberta, Brad's early career began at New York’s Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. He moved to Vancouver to continue his studies. He quickly gained credits including popular series such as Supernatural, Legends of Tomorrow, Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce, The Magicians, Twilight Zone, and Aurora Teagarden Mysteries

 

In 2020, he was cast in a groundbreaking film The Christmas House for Hallmark where he played the first married LGTBQ+ lead, which received international press coverage from The Guardian, LA Times, CBS, NBC, E! Entertainment, OUT Magazine, and the Toronto Star to name a few, and was nominated for a GLAAD award. And for the sequel, Brad was nominated for a LEO award for his performance. Since then Brad has played leading and guest starring roles in Ms. Match (E! Entertainment)A Stranger’s Child (Tubi), Like A Christmas Movie (Netflix), Virgin River and Cruel Summer. Currently he is a recurring guest star on Elle (Amazon MGM Studios), as well as CBC’s fourth season of Wildcards

 

As a producer, Brad’s first project was in 2017 with Caravan Park, followed by several other short films. He is passionate about creating stories and playing characters that are compelling, dynamic, and authentic while continuing to champion LGBTQ+ visibility and representation on and off the screen. His objective to tell stories through different lenses, and creating an ecosystem of new and emerging voices with Florian Halbedl Hess & Luna Ferguson joining Turbid Lake Pictures in 2024. Their first project together resulted in the pilot presentation entitled Kinships. In 2026, Brad, Luna, and Florian collectively created DOMUS Pictures to develop feature films and episodic series, which combines their business experience, passion for artistry, and their intention for an ethical business model in film & television.

 

Brad lives in Vancouver with his husband, raising their two beautiful children.
